The Blackjack Tournament was Really Fun
So last weekend we held our very first Blackjack Tournament (Powered by the Poker Girl obviously) and it was so much fun. First of all I was in charge of arranging the whole thing so i bought some snacks and some hand food and some beers – just to be on the safe side, in case things get sooo boring you can always get people drunk and get the best out of them, and hey, if it works around the poker table and will defintly work around a blackjack table as well right? Then i went to my friend house and started to get everything together, the table, the rounds board, the blackjack atmosphere and of course, the place for the secret bet….it was the toilet after all, we used a small room right next to the living room which usually called “laundry room”.
My friends started to arrive bringing some more food, and some more beers and we started to play some blackjack, after a short explenation of the blackjack tournament rules (it is not that easy to explain when people never heard of it before) we started playing, first and 2nd blackjack hands were a bit of a practice hands but once we got to the 8th round (first elimination round) people allready were into it- and it was the best blackjack game ever – it was just a lot of fun.
And me? i got to the final 3, then I had a lousy bet, i decided on the elimination round to use my secret bet since I was a bit behind so i had 2 choices and I chose to go all in (left few chips aside) – I got 19 – cool ha? dealer was showing 5 – even sweeter, then he got a 9 – i was happy - 14 will usually bust right? – well, it didnt this time – a nice 6 of spade was out….daaaaam – I hated it.
Anyway, we decided to have another blackjack tournament in a while, I am happy, it gives me time to practice again on my poker chips shuffle so maybe I will look cooler around the blackjack table.
